1. Cutting edge and tips

We will check for wear, possible micro-chips and any areas where the blades catch, and whether the tips cut cleanly.

2. Scissor action

We will check whether the scissors open and close evenly, without unnecessary resistance or catching.

3. Pivot screw and tension

We will check the pivot mechanism and make sure the blade tension is correctly adjusted.

4. Blade alignment

Inspection helps assess the condition of the cutting edge, while proper sharpening
helps preserve the scissors’ geometry and correct performance.

6. Do your scissors need sharpening at all?

Sometimes the problem is not a dull cutting edge. If sharpening is not needed yet, we will tell you.
